Sorry for the huge delay – we have uploaded the video again after converting it once more from mpg to flv. Let us know if you have any better success. We recognize that these files are large, and are doing our best to get 1 to 2 hours of video into a manageable size. However, due to the length of the videos, they continue to be fairly large fiels.

I just wanted to thank all of the volunteers of ACT for being at events around the City. I was honored and excited to have you come to our meeting last night, and I think it will be very helpful for residents to go back and see the responses, or lack thereof in some instances, from our City Officials.

Thanks for everything you do in providing legitimate public access to our City and helping to hold our officials accountable.

The show-down happens tomorrow.

Who wins? The Pine Bush and the people or the big developer and money interests?

The Common Council will vote tomorrow on the proposed Marriott hotel in the Pine Bush.

The site of the proposed Marriott hotel may be the only known upstate population of the species of special concern: the worm snake. But, without more study, we will never know.

The Pine Bush is considered the best remaining example of an inlands pine barrens ecosystem in the world. When Albany so desperately needs development downtown, why is the Common Council even considering the destruction of more Pine Bush?

Please come to the meeting on Monday and speak out against development in the Pine Bush!

And, stay and watch how YOUR Common Council member votes!

A wait and see approach to responsible government? Council members trying to shirk responsibility for reading documents? This is public service folks. And fellas (read: Sano and Igoe), just so you know, investigating corrupt systems are what politicians are supposed to do. Don’t wait for the state to resolve a local matter.
